2025 In Review: Impact & Giving Back

OCHR hosted three conferences in 2025 that brought 122 students from 16 US colleges and universities and one international university (Kyung Hee University) to Sonoma, CA and Oxford, UK. Conference themes included Activism, Climate Crisis, and New Technology - all within the lens of human rights.

In January 2025 Susan Dichter joined us as chief operating officer for the Oxford Consortium. She is working on a sustainability plan to effectively continue the Consortium’s mission to increase access, expand opportunities, and strengthen our community of human rights practice. Three key projects are in-process: a website redesign, alumni outreach, and a first-ever OCHR newsletter; all focused on tapping into Oxford Consortium’s greatest resource: our OCHR alumni. Engaging OCHR alumni on projects, subcommittees, volunteering and OCHR board roles (see the articles on Izzy Jacobs, Charlie Petrik and Jazmine Rossetti) fulfills part of this sustainability plan.
